Echo has a broken heart. A gutted-from-the-inside, cut-off-your-toes broken heart. His therapist sister is a phone call away, but he opts for some Classical* revenge. Play Dead looks at addiction as a love language and the inexplicable drive to melt into the person you love.

Over 2024, the piece went through a period of dramaturgical development with Mia Hull and Anjeli Chapman Wolf before culminating in a week-long R&D with Olivier-nominated director Toby Clarke.

In 2025, Amber Anderson (Peaky Blinders, Emma) joined.

Recently, the piece had an industry showing at Theatre Deli with producer Vidya Divakaran.
